Notes from April 24, 2018 Meeting

OUTSTANDING presentation by Steve Kuitems on “A Franklin / Sterling Hill Potpourri” at our Friends NJ Meeting. Lots of slides and pics of museum quality fluorescent classics and rarities. And lot of insight for the aspiring collector. Great turnout too, 15 people from 2 different clubs and a guest. Members in attend were KC Dalby, John Brandauer, Justin Spitzer, Ken Jasko, Mike Wright, Peter Melillo, Mike “the Pie Man” Dunton with wife Deb, Tim Hollister, Mark Hollister, Albie Santanello with wife Cathy, guest Bill, and of course Daniel Kuitems and Steve Kuitems. A big thank you to our presenters Steve and Dan Kuitems for trekking out to the Center and giving a top notch presentation. I must also give a big thank you to our Treasurer Kenny Jasko for literally SAVING the day by availing his laptop for Steve’s presentation. I pitifully brought mine along and learned that it was WOEFULLY dated and not capable of supporting the presentation. And also thank you to Pastor Joe for the use of extension cords AND procuring the drop screen. Lastly, we had the 8th installment of our monthly Mineral Mayhem. John “Mr TieDye” Brandauer, Petey Melillo and Mark Hollister were the 3 lucky winners. 30 $$ went into our Treasury. As always, thank you to KC for providing the specimens and tickets.
